Surah Al-Fajr
-Fajar-
Al-Quran surat ke-89: 30 ayat

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Dengan nama Allah Yang Maha Pengasih, Maha Penyayang.
وَالْفَجْرِۙ	1
By the break of Day
Demi fajar,
وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍۙ	2
By the Nights twice five;
demi malam yang sepuluh,
وَّالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِۙ	3
By the even and odd (contrasted);
demi yang genap dan yang ganjil,
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَسْرِۚ	4
And by the Night when it passeth away;-
demi malam apabila berlalu.
هَلْ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِيْ حِجْرٍۗ	5
Is there (not) in these an adjuration (or evidence) for those who understand?
Adakah pada yang demikian itu terdapat sumpah (yang dapat diterima) bagi orang-orang yang berakal?
اَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍۖ	6
Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the 'Ad (people),-
Tidakkah engkau (Muhammad) memperhatikan bagaimana Tuhanmu berbuat terhadap (kaum) ‘Ad?
اِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِۖ	7
Of the (city of) Iram, with lofty pillars,
(yaitu) penduduk Iram (ibukota kaum ‘Ad) yang mempunyai bangunan-bangunan yang tinggi,
الَّتِيْ لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِى الْبِلَادِۖ	8
The like of which were not produced in (all) the land?
yang belum pernah dibangun (suatu kota) seperti itu di negeri-negeri lain,
وَثَمُوْدَ الَّذِيْنَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِۖ	9
And with the Thamud (people), who cut out (huge) rocks in the valley?-
dan (terhadap) kaum samud yang memotong batu-batu besar di lembah,
وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِى الْاَوْتَادِۖ	10
And with Pharaoh, lord of stakes?
dan (terhadap) Fir‘aun yang mempunyai pasak-pasak (bangunan yang besar),
الَّذِيْنَ طَغَوْا فِى الْبِلَادِۖ	11
(All) these transgressed beyond bounds in the lands,
yang berbuat sewenang-wenang dalam negeri,
فَاَكْثَرُوْا فِيْهَا الْفَسَادَۖ	12
And heaped therein mischief (on mischief).
lalu mereka banyak berbuat kerusakan dalam negeri itu,
فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍۖ	13
Therefore did thy Lord pour on them a scourge of diverse chastisements:
karena itu Tuhanmu menimpakan cemeti azab kepada mereka,
اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِۗ	14
For thy Lord is (as a Guardian) on a watch-tower.
sungguh, Tuhanmu benar-benar mengawasi.
فَاَمَّا الْاِنْسَانُ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰىهُ رَبُّهٗ فَاَكْرَمَهٗ وَنَعَّمَهٗۙ فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّيْٓ اَكْرَمَنِۗ	15
Now, as for man, when his Lord trieth him, giving him honour and gifts, then saith he, (puffed up), "My Lord hath honoured me."
Maka adapun manusia, apabila Tuhan mengujinya lalu memuliakannya dan memberinya kesenangan, maka dia berkata, “Tuhanku telah memuliakanku.”
وَاَمَّآ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰىهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهٗ ەۙ فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّيْٓ اَهَانَنِۚ	16
But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!"
Namun apabila Tuhan mengujinya lalu membatasi rezekinya, maka dia berkata, “Tuhanku telah menghinaku.”
كَلَّا بَلْ لَّا تُكْرِمُوْنَ الْيَتِيْمَۙ	17
Nay, nay! but ye honour not the orphans!
Sekali-kali tidak! Bahkan kamu tidak memuliakan anak yatim,
وَلَا تَحٰۤضُّوْنَ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِيْنِۙ	18
Nor do ye encourage one another to feed the poor!-
dan kamu tidak saling mengajak memberi makan orang miskin,
وَتَأْكُلُوْنَ التُّرَاثَ اَكْلًا لَّمًّاۙ	19
And ye devour inheritance - all with greed,
sedangkan kamu memakan harta warisan dengan cara mencampurbaurkan (yang halal dan yang haram),
وَّتُحِبُّوْنَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّاۗ	20
And ye love wealth with inordinate love!
dan kamu mencintai harta dengan kecintaan yang berlebihan.
كَلَّآ اِذَا دُكَّتِ الْاَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّاۙ	21
Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder,
Sekali-kali tidak! Apabila bumi diguncangkan berturut-turut (berbenturan),
وَّجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّاۚ	22
And thy Lord cometh, and His angels, rank upon rank,
dan datanglah Tuhanmu; dan malaikat berbaris-baris,
وَجِايْۤءَ يَوْمَىِٕذٍۢ بِجَهَنَّمَۙ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ وَاَنّٰى لَهُ الذِّكْرٰىۗ	23
And Hell, that Day, is brought (face to face),- on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him?
dan pada hari itu diperlihatkan neraka Jahanam; pada hari itu sadarlah manusia, tetapi tidak berguna lagi baginya kesadaran itu.
يَقُوْلُ يٰلَيْتَنِيْ قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِيْۚ	24
He will say: "Ah! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my (Future) Life!"
Dia berkata, “Alangkah baiknya sekiranya dahulu aku mengerjakan (kebajikan) untuk hidupku ini.”
فَيَوْمَىِٕذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهٗٓ اَحَدٌ ۙ	25
For, that Day, His Chastisement will be such as none (else) can inflict,
Maka pada hari itu tidak ada seorang pun yang mengazab seperti azab-Nya (yang adil),
وَّلَا يُوْثِقُ وَثَاقَهٗٓ اَحَدٌ ۗ	26
And His bonds will be such as none (other) can bind.
dan tidak ada seorang pun yang mengikat seperti ikatan-Nya.
يٰٓاَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَىِٕنَّةُۙ	27
(To the righteous soul will be said:) "O (thou) soul, in (complete) rest and satisfaction!
Wahai jiwa yang tenang!
ارْجِعِيْٓ اِلٰى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً ۚ	28
"Come back thou to thy Lord,- well pleased (thyself), and well-pleasing unto Him!
Kembalilah kepada Tuhanmu dengan hati yang rida dan diridai-Nya.
فَادْخُلِيْ فِيْ عِبٰدِيْۙ	29
"Enter thou, then, among My devotees!
Maka masuklah ke dalam golongan hamba-hamba-Ku,
وَادْخُلِيْ جَنَّتِيْࣖ	30
"Yea, enter thou My Heaven!
dan masuklah ke dalam surga-Ku.
